The Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center
Putting down roots
Replete with sustainable features, the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center serves as the headquarters for Trees Atlanta and the base for its tree operations. Available for events, retreats and programs, the center also serves as a model for future green development and construction.
After over twenty years of operating in office space donated by Chip Robert of Robert & Company, Trees Atlanta finally put down roots with its own facility. Funded by a three-year capital campaign and tremendous support of the community, the new Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center houses Trees Atlanta’s office and tree operation facilities. Located at 225 Chester Avenue in the Reynoldstown neighborhood, the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center was crafted from an existing warehouse, and renovated to fit the organization’s mission, program goals, and concern for the environment.
Features of the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center include the Bartlett Tree Experts Urban Forestry Demonstration Site and the Home Depot Program Operations Center. Visitors are welcome to explore the facility’s myriad features. In February 2009, the U.S. Green Building Council awarded the Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center platinum certification for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
Trees Atlanta extends a special thanks to:
- The Kendeda Fund
- The Robert W. Woodruff Foundation

- and all those who made our headquarters possible
The Trees Atlanta Kendeda Center serves as an invaluable educational tool, and continues to be an inspiration for additional LEED certified projects in metro-Atlanta and beyond.
