Atlanta’s Pristine Forests: Beecher Hills and Hampton Greenways

Dotted throughout the city of Atlanta are greenways, forested land purchased and conserved for the protection of Atlanta’s network of creeks, streams and rivers. Just minutes away from Downtown, in the southwestern part of the city along Utoy Creek, are the Beecher Hills and Hampton Greenways, which have dense hardwood and bottomland forests that feel like they are far removed from the urban core of Atlanta.
Join us as we explore these fantastic greenways and their trees, while learning about how they benefit our urban city. This is a joint program of Trees Atlanta and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed, who are working together to protect and restore the greenway forests.
