Atlanta BeltLine Bird Walk
Come walk the Atlanta BeltLine north of Piedmont Park with expert Arboretum Docents and Atlanta Audubon volunteers looking for urban resident and migratory birds, hopefully with some close-up views. The habitats the Birding Tour will visit include Clear Creek, a golf course and woodland edges- all areas preferred by birds! The hands-on Tour starts at the backside of Ansley Mall. The group will meet at the side of the grocery and walk to Piedmont Park along the Beltline. In Piedmont Park we’ll walk around the Clear Creek CSO area to look at birds in the water and in the brush and trees. The Tour covers about 1 mile and lasts 2 hours to stop and bird along the way. This is a family-friendly walk, but is not appropriate for children in strollers or for dogs.
Please bring drinking water, bincoulars, and note-taking supplies if you’d like. Dress appropriately for a hike on an upaved path with sturdy shoes and hat. Don’t leave valuables unattended in your vehicle.
Special thank you to the Atlanta BeltLine Arboretum Docents and Atlanta Audubon birders for sharing their expertise during these free BeltLine Bird Walks.RSVP Now
