Come join us to plant seedlings at the City of Clarkston’s Friendship Forest Park! We will be mulching the site and then planting 200 bareroot and 1-gallon seedlings. This planting will emphasize trees with high food value for wildlife, including Chickasaw plum (Prunus angustifolia), Northern red oak (Quercus rubra), Georgia holly (Ilex longipes), and rusty blackhaw (Viburnum rufidulum), and all plant material is being generously funded by Nalley of Decatur. The planting will be prefaced with a brief ceremony at 8:45 recognizing the partner organizations that have been hard at work in this greenspace.
