Lunch & Learn: Challenges to Forest Restoration in Atlanta’s Greenspaces
We host a very casual monthly brown bag lunch at the TreeHouse. Each month, we invite a Trees Atlanta staff or crew member, volunteer, or friend to present an interesting environmental topic for discussion. Brown Bag Lunch & Learns are typically on the second Thursday of each month. Lunch starts and end promptly at noon to 1 pm.
Whether you live in Atlanta’s Westside or Eastside, from Washington Park to Atlanta Memorial Park, Trees Atlanta is working in a greenspace near you. Kevin Mink, Trees Atlanta’s Forest Restoration Project Coordinator, will discuss Trees Atlanta’s main forest restoration goals and highlight some of the different strategies and challenges we face in different greenspaces as we work towards restoring native plant diversity within our urban forest.
