McDaniel Branch Wetlands Walk
Trees Atlanta, in partnership with the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, invites you to join us for a walking tour of the McDaniel Branch Wetlands. Recently designated as a Certified Wildlife Sanctuary by the Atlanta Audubon Society, this eight-acre marshy nature preserve has stormwater ponds, constructed wetlands, and a stream restoration project which help to manage stormwater runoff from adjacent neighborhoods while also providing habitat for diverse wildlife, including riparian bird species and beavers. The property is maintained by the Department of Watershed Management with the assistance of Trees Atlanta.
Join us for a half-mile walk to explore this unique greenspace in the midst of Atlanta’s urban landscape!
