Tucked away in lovely Druid Hills, Deepdene Park is a beautiful example of Atlanta’s urban forest. Shaded by native hardwood, such as Sassafras, Tulip Poplar, and various Oak species, this pristine area provides habitat for the flora and fauna that call our city home. Join Tree’s Atlanta’s naturalist Zach Lim in search of native animals and plants that flourish during winter in this forest. Will salamanders be seeking refuge under logs? Are there winter birds in the canopy? Which critters are rustling in the under story? Have all the trees lost their leaves for the season? Bring the whole family and let us answer these questions together!
