Oakland Cemetery Winter Tree Walk
Meet Eli Dickerson, Trees Atlanta’s Champion Tree Coordinator, for a noontime winter tree walk. This lunch time walk will cover basic winter identification of mostly native tree species. Participants will also have a chance to visit a few of the city champion trees located in the cemetery, including a magnificent southern magnolia.
- The walk will be at an easy pace and is stroller friendly.
- Please bring drinking water, cameras and note-taking supplies if you’d like.
- Meet at west end of cemetery at corner of MLK Jr. Dr. NW and Oakland Ave SE- free parking is available in adjacent gravel lot.
- Don’t leave valuables unattended in your vehicle.
