Whether you are an advocate for trees, looking to improve the canopy in your neighborhood, or just want to recognize the trees in your neighborhood by name, these workshops will increase your practical knowledge in identifying 50 of Atlanta’s most common street trees. Join us for this series taught by Harry Larsen, Associate Professor Emeritus of Forestry, Auburn University.

Each field study walk will cover separate trees and a different Atlanta neighborhood, giving participants a chance to apply their skills and get to know our trees! All workshops are held on Saturdays from 10 am. to 12 p.m. Meeting location varies per session.

Workshops Schedule:
– October 15: Understanding the Basics of Tree ID (Trees Atlanta TreeHouse, 112 Krog Street, Suite 7)
– October 22: Inman Park Field Study Walk — part A
– October 29: Inman Park Field Study Walk — part B
November 5: Candler Park Field Study Walk
November 12: Poncey-Highland Field Study Walk

Many thanks to the City of Atlanta for supporting our workshops!
