Trees Atlanta Lantern Parade Meetup
- Community Event
Trees Atlanta volunteers, friends, and family are meeting at the TreeHouse and heading to the Lantern Parade! This is a casual gathering. Just bring your lantern if you have one, wear your comfy shoes, and come along. If you don’t have a lantern and are hankering to carry one, we have a beautiful, big (but light) Trees Atlanta lantern you can carry! We have a couple of giant glowing leaves, too! To claim the honor of carrying the official Trees Atlanta lantern or leaves, give us a shout out!
- Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend so that we know approximately how many to wait for on Saturday, Sept. 12.
- We will depart at 7 pm from the TreeHouse and join the masses on the Eastside Trail!
For more information on the Lantern Parade, please visit the Atlanta BeltLine website: http://art.beltline.org/lantern-parade/
The TreeHouse is located across the street from Krog Street Market, in the same complex as Krog Bar and Rathbuns, and in spittin’ distance of loads of other watering holes on the Eastside Trail. We hope to squeeze into the Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall at some point in the night to order our special drink. Ladybird is giving 15% of the proceeds from every Ladybird Old Fashioned sold during the month of September to Trees Atlanta! Thanks Ladybird!
Keep in mind that traffic and parking will be especially challenging; therefore, we STRONGLY encourage everyone allow for plenty of travel time and PLEASE walk or bike to the parade and/or the meetup!RSVP Now
