Tree Pittsburgh Executive Director, Danielle Crumrine, and Josh Lippert of the City of Pittsburgh Planning Department, will tell Pittsburgh’s story of transformation from dirty steel town to one of the nation’s most livable cities. They will talk about efforts by both non-profit organizations, municipal leaders, and citizens to clean up the environment and create a healthy and robust urban forest. Ms. Crumrine and Mr. Lippert will share strategies undertaken in Pittsburgh to not only engage the public in the planting and care of trees but also planning and policy strategies to protect trees and greenspace.
