Participants in the workshop will learn about agroforestry — the intentional integration of trees and shrubs into crop and livestock enterprises — from some of the very best professionals from the field and academia.
Urban agroforestry blends values of ecology, culture, economics, and society to sustain agricultural production, healthy environments, and viable food and farming communities in the urban landscape. “What is a Food Forest?!” workshop hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Sustainability and Trees Atlanta will introduce property owners and natural resource professionals and municipal leadership to the benefits of agroforestry practices.
